Let me start by saying that the overall design of this bathing suit is adorable. My daughter is obsessed with mermaids and will love the pattern. However, I have major issues with the sizing. Based on what other reviewers said about it running small, I got a 12/13 for my 11 year old who is 57" and 64 pounds. The rash guard portion will fit her perfectly. The bottoms, however, fit me. I am 5'6" and 125 pounds. How a 64 pound under 5 foot skinny kid can wear half of a bathing suit and her taller, reasonably normal weight adult mother can wear the other half is crazy. They need to fix the sizing on these bathing suits. I do not recommend if you are looking for both the top and the bottom to fit your child, unless they are on the heavier side of average.

I ordered this for my tall 4 year old. The prints were very cute, but the fabric and fit of the bathing suit were way off. The fabric on the top didn’t seem to be true swimsuit material. It was sort of see through in the arms and didn’t seem like it would offer any sun protection at all. The sleeves were 3/4 length (not sure if they were meant to be that way or not), but overall the top fit her. The bottoms had way too much fabric. They would have fit a small adult. It was very strange.

Should have gone up a size. Her 5 from Gymboree still fits but this 8 is not going to go past this summer. I'll buy again but 2 sizes up.

I had to order a 8-9 for my 45 pound 46” dagger and it JUST fits. I would have returned it ( the shirt is narrow in the chest) but she loves the cats.
