This blind is made out of aluminum and was a cord type.looks great

I bought these to replace some blinds that I had special ordered 20 years ago. These are as good of quality!! They are nice aluminum. They do have the string to raise & lower them, which I like! I do not like the ones that don't have the string!! They also shipped very fast & came on time. Would definitely order these again!! These are as nice as the custom one.

For the price, these blinds were a good investment. I had a handyman install them, so I am not sure whether the directions are good or not. But they look nice in the window and do an adequate job of keeping out the sun. If you are looking for light reduction, these are not the shades for you.

Windwalker was very kind and patient esp. when my Amazon order didn't go thruas they changed log-in Authentication process. Unlike the 1st order, the 2nd order of the samewas received very fast. I guess 22"W blinds are not popular and hard to get. I liked:1. Alum. blades vs. cheap plastic or wood. The metal lasts longer esp. w good coating2. It operates very nicelyDislike:1. Plastic installation brackets. It is much sophisticated sprung typethan the standard flip in/flip out2. Plastic doesn't last esp. where the window facing sun light as my previousowner had left. Can get metal bracket for this thin blinds 1" x 1" head railon-line3. throw away flat and philip combo screw heads. Get steel philip head screws. Pre-drillholes, then screw them in. the combo screws strips too easily on the next removal-installationeffort esp. when the plastic brackets give outOver all, I like this product and service.
