En 1961, un cubeta de bicicleta de 3 velocidades mostrado en el New York Toy Show fue el catalizador de lo que eventualmente se convertiría en Shimano. La popularidad de las bicicletas con ruedas de 20 pulgadas con manubrio de alta altura alimentó la demanda de cubos de varias velocidades y Shimano estaba produciendo una versión confiable que llamó la atención de la industria. Shimano American ha crecido de esa modesta oficina con solo tres personas a múltiples centros de distribución y oficinas de ventas y marketing.

This works perfectly. It was easy to install, and I love itTips: Adjust them to provide a slight toe. If you don't know what this is, look up on youtube. Afterward also be sure to use the little spring adjuster screws if one side touches the wheel.

Fit perfectly, installed easily, HOLY SMOKES, the difference over my old brakes is amazing! Can lock up the rear wheel with little effort, but still has controlled braking. I really had to squeeze my old brakes to stop this well..I have never installed a bike brake before, but I have tinkered so much with the old ones I did OK. It was easy.The brakes have strong retract springs, and have adjustment screws to set them not to rub the wheel. The pad adjustment is easy and well executed.I love getting the old bike fixed up, anyone can go down to the bike store and plunk down a chunk of change, and ride away on a new bike, but this is re-cycling at its best.
