Perform vertical spindle turning on your multi-speed drill press with this Lathe Attachment. Easy setup means quick changeover from drilling mode to turning mode. A 12 inch tool rest allows a maximum work piece length of 24 inch when the work piece is reversed.

Base Plate with Live Center
The D4088 includes a base plate with live center for smooth turning operations. The 12 inch tool rest provides plenty of leverage for your tuning needs.
Easy-to-Install
Included with this lathe attachment are mounting bolts for easy installation on a drill press table. Also included is a mini screw center and spur center. This lathe attachment will fit all drill presses with a through hole in the table.

Turn a Range of Stock
The Model D4088 Drill Press Lathe Attachment allows wooden workpieces to be turned on a drill press in the same manner as a wood lathe, only vertically rather than horizontally. Items like small pickets, legs, spindles, candle holders, salt and pepper shakers, handles, dowels, and pins can be made.

This was a very inexpensive way to transform my drill press into a wood turning machine. I had only one issue with the actual fasteners that are to hold the wood in place. The smaller of the 2 would spin right out when turning. The second just didn't have enough bite to it as well. I ended up using a cheap forstner bit that was pretty useless in a drill and also used some screws with washers to hold that down nice and secure. The bar to hold your chisels to, likes to come loose over time so definitely check its snugness from time to time with the drill press turned off. But overall, I really enjoyed this attachment as my first wood turning experience was to duplicate a large coke bottle for a collector that had passed as his urn. Why start with something easy right?! :D

Los tornillos para fijar la base son muy grandes y no encajan con la mayoría de las bases de taladro manual, el opresor del poste para apoyar la herramienta está muy largo y topa en la base, el perno- pija guía es muy débil, se doblo, si funciona si reparas todo

No me gusto, los tornillos que incluyen no son de la medida, los accesorios que incluyen son de pesima calidad, solo duran 1 vez y se doblan o destruyen. Este producto es para trabajos en casa solamente. El precio se me hizo elevado para lo que es. No lo volveria a comprar

As a beginner wood turner, this is perfectly capable of letting me create some basic turnings. It took some adjustment to work with my drill press, but I got it working pretty quickly.Excellent way to add some lathing capability to a your drill press.Great attachment, sturdy, expect to make modifications (shorten tool rest, screws too long or short). . Order chisels, because you'll want to try it right away ! Makes mountains of sawdust. Glad I purchased. Its been fun trying new things. I was even able to make pencil holders for my friends art class. It was fast and easy with this amazing tool. I recommend this to all men

A kit to have for your press drill. It's not a true lathe, but it get the job done, don't cost much and don't take space.
