Excellent water pump for replacement of fulval flex 32.5 gallon aquarium. It was an upgrade to the old pump that was not moving water that effecient anymore. Actually I wish I would have upgraded earlier to this pump. It fits perfectly in the back compartment of this aquarium. And it moves the water better than the stock pump that comes with that aquarium kit. Easy to assemble and to set up. It is also a very durable pump and really well constructed.

Overall, it's a good pump. Flow rate is high and the build quality is good.I bought this because it was supposed to be a very quiet internal pump, and that it is most certainly not. Not the loudest pump, but you hear it. I ended up wrapping it in a cut up silicone dish mat to help quiet it up.I hear the Ehiem compact 1000 is quieter if you too are looking for a silent aquarium pump.

Incredible! I am using this in my Nuvo 30 long saltwater tank. The pump that came with the tank died within the first year of my owning the tank. It was loud and too strong for the size of the tank. This pump is perfect! The right amount of flow (no splashing of water out of tank), quiet as a whisper and small enough to fit in the refuge in the back. I'm very pleased!

This is a very good pump, and quite quiet (but not quite silent if used inline). If submerged though i'd say this pump would be barely noticeable. I had to rate this as 4 stars however due to the rated and actual flow being fairly different, the 1.5 flows about the same as am eco264 pump (measured 270, rated at 290), when it should be flowing significantly more. It is however much quieter and better built by far!
