This hat holder bites! It bites with teeth! Yes, it will hold your hat. Yes, it will be very secure in holding your hat . . . BUT at the cost of permanent marks! I would not use this with any of my hats, including my cloth baseball caps. The clamp is very strong, and those teeth are interlocking, meaning they will bite down hard on your brim, or whatever other part of your hat you put in there. For some people they might not care, or have a very durable hat material that can withstand the teeth. My hats are made of felt, straw, leather, and some cloth. Absolutely LOVE these for my multiple hats that I keep in my Jeep Rubicon for the sunny days in Arizona. Keeps the hats off the back seats and in their best shape ready for any adventure. Also going to purchase a set for my closet as I think they will work there as well!Awesome product!!

I don't own a cowboy hat, but I have a baseball cap that I keep in the back of my SUV that I use when it's really sunny or raining. The problem is is always gets smashed by other items in the car & gets deformed. Saw this on vine & it's perfect.The color matches the interior of my car, it keeps the hat hanging off the headrest so it doesn't get smashed, it's easy to install, the clip is heavy duty & it's inexpensive. Not much more to say, other than if this one broke or was stolen, I would buy another.
