This is a nice large nightstand. It is not solid wood, but rather “engineered” Think IKEA quality. Looks good doesn’t break the bank. I’ve assembled tons of manufactured pieces… this one was not as easy as I had assumed, plus the directions are mediocre. However, once put together it’s a nice heavy unit. BE ADVISED: the top pieces – that slide together- do NOT fit flush BUT it is not a defect. I don’t think they are designed to close tight so that a cord can go down the slot to the power strip. If it really bothers you, buy a little 1/2in foam weatherstripping at a hardware store and cut to fit. Most weatherstripping is a dark gray, and you could easily paint the top edge to blend. The knobs are a little puny; I think this piece would look tons better with nice handles. I covered the top sliding piece with contact paper… Only because I know my son will put drinking glasses on this table (even if a coaster is inches away) and it will warp. (Engineered wood does that). I will also say that the corners are extremely sharp… it would be nice if manufacturers would just soften the edges a little bit on pieces that are lower to the ground and therefore easily bumped into.

Love the way it looks in my room, the added feature of hiding chords is unique and the reason why I chose it

The quality of materials for this product is very good. When finished it looks good and is very solid.Assembly went very smoothly. The precision for the all the pre-drilled holes is good enough. I bought a pair of these and on one the middle drawer is slightly off center between the top and bottom and slightly crooked. You have to really examine closely to notice, and nothing was so far off that it made assembly difficult. The instructions are some of the best I've seen, but there is still room for improvement. The hardware for the drawers is packaged separately, but should also be labelled as such. If you mix-up any of the stand hardware with the drawer hardware, some of which is similar, you will have to dis-assemble to fix the mistake. Some of the pictures, such as the drawer rails, are drawn incorrectly in the instructions and must be installed flipped from how they appear. But otherwise the directions are clear and complete. But go slow and make sure each step makes sense before screwing anything in too tightly. The design is good. It is a pleasing shape, solid construction materials and quality hardware. The integrated power bar is a very nice feature. I was hoping to really enjoy the novel top drawer that is accessed from above via the split top plate, but now that I'm actually using it this seems more gimmicky than practical. It makes it hard to effectively use the space on top and the drawer underneath at the same time. You almost have to pick one or the other. It might have been nicer to have some extra cable channels in the back and side instead, and just a conventional solid top and normal top drawer. But depending on how you use it, you may very well find the split top very convenient. It works well and as advertised.Overall I'm very happy with it. If I had time to build my own from scratch I'd do a few things differently, but at this price and this level of quality it is almost exactly what I want for a fraction of the effort.

We have a King-sized bed that is rather tall, and this is one of the few nightstands that I found that are the right height for our bed. I'm so glad we purchased these! My husband wasn't home and I wanted to get these set up, so I put them together by myself (the directions say it requires 2 people, but I just leaned the side board up against the bed when it was time, and that worked just fine). The directions were easy to follow, and everything was included correctly, including the power strip. You only need a hammer and screwdriver. These are sturdy and I love the design with the charging station! I saw some reviews that said they fell apart - I could see that if you are sitting on them, or loading the drawers full of heavy objects - they do have a weight limit, so as long as you follow that and don't act stupid, these are great! :) The only down-side I found was that the power strip cord barely reaches our outlets, but power strips don't usually have an extra-long cord unless you specifically buy one like that. They are beautiful and look great in our room! I would recommend these!
