If you get back ache when you get up in the morning, it's time to change the mattress.Indeed, my old mattress had a visible depression in the middle, and was not supporting my back.In addition to this, my worn out knees felt pain, for the mattress is bowed up, when my body weight is placed on it.Since there is not much cartilage left in my knees, this bowed up situation puts undue pressure on the knee joints. Too often I wake up in pain in the middle of the night and gingerly shift the position.If this resonates with you, then you might want to consider this mattress in the 'firm' rating.It's a memory foam, and it hugs your body contour. The whole body, that is every part of the body that is in contact with the mattress, is supported.Even though it is rated "firm," it does not feel hard; it is actually soft--it will readily give to the weight of your body--but it will hold your body up, without being plush. Plush is bad for your back. Your body is not sinking into the mattress. In this sense, it is 'firm.'I slept on it the first night, and I feel already the difference: my back hurts less. I could straighten up, without the great pain I used to feel. I think it will get better and better. So worth the money I paid for it. I will give 5 stars, after I slept on it for a week. For now it is 4 stars.After One Week report:I must say, I am glad I bought this mattress. The morning after the first night of sleep on this mattress, my back hurt less--about one half? As I slept on the mattress, the back pain significantly diminished. After 7 nights of sleep, the back pain is maybe 1/5 of what it was before. I now can get up and straighten myself without difficulty. Good stuff!

This was a 10 minute install on my 2015 F150 ecoboost. Had to trim the hoses as they were very long, but that depends on where you mount it. Clipped right on to the factory hose mounts. Get extra stainless steel wool as it can hold more. Very well made! Excellent purchase.

Off the bat, this product does not come with instructions. Like others have mentioned there are plenty of YT videos to help. Professor Mike Automotive had one for my application (2016 F150 2.7l) and it gave me a good place to start. The item itself is nicely made with quality machining. I did use a little extra Teflon pipe tape on the fittings to ensure a tight fit. As you can see from the image the bracket was not square and required to be bent to a true 90* angle. Wasn’t that hard as it’s aluminum. I chose to mount mine on the battery tray and did not use the hole for the wire holder as others have. It fit just fine by moving it forward a bit without disturbing the wires. Routing the in/out hose was easy enough, just be sure to not kink them. The location I chose gives plenty of room for the hoses and provides easy access to the container. I ended up cutting the bracket down so it didn’t extend past the two holes I didn’t use and it provided a cleaner look. This is a universal part so you should expect to have to use a little critical planning before installation. Just take you time and think about where it will best fit your application.

Good packaging and good quality.On 2014 F150 3.5 Ecoboost1. No instructions, but that's OK, very straight forward. 90 deg fitting PCV in the can and Out of the can back 45 deg fitting to Engine.2. Drill the battery flange for second hole for can support3. Fittings good quality4. I trimmed one of the hoses5. For the price good quality.6. Hood closes perfectly7. I did use locktite on the threads, can always unclamp and remove hose if needed8. I did change PCV Valve when doing the installNot sure the about O-Ring they sent and extra hose clamp, maybe for the one with the filter on top.For me, the baffle is good enough without Stanless Steel.Now wait for the first 800km then 2000km then 5000km.Update... Oct 30 2024After 800km working as intended look at the last pic.

This should have come with instructions. The biggest concern is if you hook up the hoses backwards. Google a video for install instructions, they're out there. I purchased the one with the external filter on top. It creates an annoying whistle and it can be heard when the vehicle is running. In my opinion, buy the one without that filter. Got his for my 19 f150 eco. It does work and for me, was worth it. If you're not comfortable installing it, let someone you trust do it. Decent DIY project. Take your time.

Super comfortable! We’ve slept great on the 6” mattress. It’s firm but just soft enough for us and we’re using it without a mattress topper. We bought this for our campervan and after sleeping so well on it we decided to replace our worn out mattress at home with the 8” version. The 8” was firmer/harder for some reason, and not comfortable to sleep on by itself, so we had to add a memory foam topper to it. With the 2” topper, the 8” is great now! Both the 6” and 8” expanded to their full height within 48 hours after opening. They both had a bit of foam smell to them. Not a strong smell (and I’m sensitive to chemical smells) but noticeable. Thankfully, it faded quickly as we left each mattress sitting out for a couple days to air out and expand. There is some sort of firesock under the cover, and I was very worried about the reviews talking about fiberglass particles, but at least for now the firesocks seem to be holding together, although I only unzipped the covers a couple inches to see what’s going on in there. The tag says not to remove the cover and to spot clean when necessary, so I’m gonna follow those instructions. I suggest getting the extra encasement if you want more protection from dirt and stains and a cover that can be taken off and laundered (we didn’t so I can’t offer a review of the encasement Lucid offers).Overall, we’re very pleased with these mattresses. With a couple inches of memory foam on top of the 8” mattress my wife has been able to sleep through the entire night without waking up and being unable to get back to sleep, as had happened to her nearly every night with our old mattress. We slept on the 6” in our campervan for 8 nights on our first trip with it and felt good, and will be sleeping on it more over the next few weeks as we take a couple more short (2-3 night) adventures. Both are laying directly on wood slat bases—the van bed slats are flat/unsprung and our apartment bed has sprung slats. Hopefully, both of these mattresses will hold up well over a period of sustained use.

This thing is unbelievably comfortable, given its thickness it is surprisingly sturdy and firm but melts you into it when you go to sleep. That being said, it may be too firm for the average person, I am a big dude(250+ lbs.) and it holds up just fine under me, the first few nights I slept better than I had since I was a kid. I had no issue with the reported smell either, I received it around 9AM, laid it out on my old mattress with all the windows open and a fan running on it, and went to the range. By the time I got home from shooting and eating lunch(around 4PM) it had fully expanded and there was little to no smell. If you're considering buying this do it, I am happy with it and at less than $200 shipped its not that bad of a gamble. Just be aware, it is more firm than you'd think, so if you need something with a little more give maybe consider something else.
