This is definitely a dance school staple. Especially for preteens &beginners studying Broadway-style tap. Be aware that this is the economy version! as it looks exactly like a more expensive leather Capezio shoe, but is actually vinyl, not leather! Likewise, they are definitely not big heavy taps, like Bloch, but cheaper smaller taps, and lately not perfectly placed. Nothing to stop our dance studio from purchasing them for decades LOL just so long as you consider who will be wearing them. Obviously more advanced, experienced, older, or competition dancers, need a better quality shoe than economy Theatrical brand - but work perfectly fine for those just starting out or attending once a week. Unless there is a special big sale going on, they are often cheaper to buy through Amazon, even with the additional postage, than directly from Discount Dance. They usually fit true to street shoe size - just make sure you consider those kids in the bridge between children's and women's shoes (where a girls' 4 is approx a ladies' 6, etc). Overall, good shoe &part of our studio dress code.

Just right! The size was just was I expected. They were a touch too big, but I have very skinny, narrow feet. I put some soft insoles that I had from my Toms shoes in, and they fit perfect! Now I don't have to buckle the strap so tightly. I'm using this for a musical production of Singin' in the Rain and they are just perfect! And durable too. I preform at an outdoor theater on the concrete. We haven't even opened the show yet, but they are still in good enough shape to use for the show and will probably last me a couple more shows if I need them.

I was worried at first to order these but they fitted perfectly. I tapped in them on stage and they sounded really good and weren't hard to use at all. They feel like really good quality and look good too. They looked exactly like the picture. They shipped and got to my house within half the time they said they would. Overall I am very happy with this product and excited to use them more.
