This splat mat gets the job done! It’s great for under the high chair at mealtime or for doing messy sensory play or projects with your kiddos. It cleans up pretty easily and folds up to fit in the matching bag it comes in. The mat is quite thin and shows the creasing but works for what you need it to. I wouldn’t use it for a mat you leave out permanently but for something you use on the go or to take out as needed, it is great. We actually ordered this to put under bed sheets to keep the mattress dry. I won't go into details about this, but it has to do with a medical issue. It works fantastic. It is not absorbent, but we knew that when we ordered it. We simply needed it to repel liquid, and it does! It is extremely soft and pliable. The backside has what feels like a thin rubber backing, which is great. The top side is kind of a thin nylon fabric. It folds super small, and if you are using it for kids, it would easily fit in a diaper bag or purse. It comes in a little drawstring bag, which makes it great for travel. It's perfect for our use, because of the softness. It isn't stiff and it doesn't make crinkle sounds. It also washes up nicely. We don't put it in the dryer. I don't remember if it says you can or not, but I simply wouldn't. It dries fast anyway. This would be great for a multitude of things. If you have kids and wanted to put it on the seat of the car during a road trip to keep food off the seat, for any travel need to use as a drop cloth on furniture or floors, you could even use it as a cape for cutting hair! It's large and covers a good area. I highly recommend.

My original intent when ordering this mat was to make things easier while feeding the little one. The mat is BIG at 51” x 51”, and is really too big for smaller dining areas. That being said, it can always be folded down to fit the space you need.The mat is very lightweight, which has both pros and cons. That means it’s a bit more difficult to keep in place, but it’s also so easy to gather up, shake out and wash. It’s easy to clean, or even toss in the washer.I love that there can be so many different uses for this mat. From feeding, to crafting, to furniture protection, to laying it out on the lawn, the possibilities seem endless.The best part about it is that it helps the environment by being made from 100% recycled plastic.Overall, this is a nice multi-purpose mat!

This is such a necessity for my home daycare because in my carpeted areas, I often need to put something down to protect against messes. This does the job very well and it’s way larger than what you would expect.

This is such a great product! It makes cleaning up so much easier. This mat is the perfect size for underneath a highchair or even a regular dining chair/stool.
