For years, I’ve been attaching a small blinking light to my old helmet with a rope. When I saw the Veltuo Lightweight Bicycle Helmet with Rechargeable USB Light, I was excited to try it out. I ordered the white helmet and it looks nice, is very lightweight with vents for airflow, seems durable, and includes a removable visor. It also comes with a comfortable adjustable chin strap. The LED light is easy to use and unlike to the light roped onto my old helmet which used batteries, this light is rechargeable with a USB chord. Even though directions for the light are not included in the instruction booklet, it’s really easy to use (and figure out on your own). Just press the power button for a couple seconds to turn on and then keep pressing for constant light or different flashing modes. To turn off, just hold the power button down again for a couple seconds.Besides having a light for safety, the other nice feature of this helmet is the little dial adjuster on the back. My old helmet never seemed to fit really well and moved around on my head. With a few turns on the dial of this helmet, I can adjust it to fit my head perfectly. In summary, if you frequently ride at night and are looking for a light weight adjustable helmet with a LED light for safety, this is a great option. At the current price of 36.99, it’s also a great value.

The Good:-Tightening knob-Comes with strap restraints-Built in rechargeable light-Removable visor (they don’t do much beyond add air resistance)-Multiple light modes-Comes with charging cable-Meets several government safety standardsThe OK:-Average comfort (most every helmet, you probably won’t notice you’re wearing it after a while)-Average ventilation (is usually fine but you can get more airflow)The Bad:-No MipsIf you’re looking for a budget helmet that offers a little more than what you’d get on average this guy could be a great choice. It has all the necessities like certified protection, decent ventilation and even strap restraints. They give you a built-in rechargeable light with multiple modes and the very handy adjustment knob for good tightness. A couple of the colors are very visible and the sizing seems correct. You can get helmets with better ventilation but you allow for more bugs to get through and it doesn’t have Mips so you’re not getting the most protection you can in a crash. Overall, I think it’s a great helmet for most users and if the price looks right, you can’t go wrong.

Great helmet. The light on the back is nice and effectively provides extra visibility for night rides. Fit is comfortable too.
