This SSD enclosure performs well, keeping cool even under load, but I found the lid a bit looser than I'd prefer. It doesn't fall off on its own, thanks to the retention spring, but it does wiggle a lot. The aluminum build feels sturdy, and installation is tool-free, making it convenient. If you're looking for a fast and portable storage solution, this does the job well. Fan is not whisper quite either if you need that.

Tested this with a Gen 3 x 4 SSD and was able to copy just under 6 GB in around 6-7 seconds, it's very fast if using USB 4.0. Unfortunately, I don't have a faster SSD to really see top speeds with this, but it's honestly fast enough for me as I don't often need to transfer large amounts of data. It doesn't get super warm during use either. I also tested this with my phone, it works as expected; however, my phone doesn't have USB 4.0, it's USB 3.2, so speed is much slower on my Android phone.Build quality is good, it feels solid and I'm not worried a drop will break it. My one complaint about this enclosure, the fan is noisier than I would prefer. Other than that I don't have any major complaints, the USB cable is very short, like 6 inches.With a solid SSD this would be a great option for a Steam library, media library, or backup for your computer. I plan on eventually getting a 4TB NVME for games and media and will be using this enclosure.

Nice Enclosure, works really well on Mac and Windows fan has some noise but easy to overlook
