This phone and tablet holder is really quite simple in design but very versatile in practice. It can hold most all smart phones or extend to hold even large tablets.The mounting bracket jaws will attach to most surfaces that are not overly thick easily and the pivoting arm and device holding frame can be rotated and pivoted through 360 degrees in 3 degrees of freedom. The spring tension on the holding arms will hold your device securely on a non-moving object, but the supplied elastic silicone mesh can secure it even more if you have it clamped to an object that is moving around. The good thing is that the screen is not really blocked by the clamping arms, and my phone and tablet buttons are not stuck under the clamping jaws either.The metal construction offers confidence when securing your expensive devices.

This is a terrific idea! A simple idea that is very well thought out and made, and it can make a world of difference to some people. The moment I read that you attach this unit to something like a wheelchair, I thought of a close friend who is in this exact position.They mentioned to me about the difficulty of holding onto an iPad or phone for an extended time, and a solid device like this is just what is needed.Some of the parts - like the piece that holds the ball joints - is made of metal. As are those ball joints. Much of the other pieces are made from what I guess to be a nylon-type material. This results is great strength and a much lighter weight.The device that holds the iPad is very nicely crafted. Any point of contact with the iPad is covered with soft rubber, as is a massive round disc sharpe, at the very back. Your iPad will not suffer any scratches being mounted to this holder.There is a large rubber strap that is used to hold the iPad to the holder, but the rubber strap is very clever. It can hold different sizes due to its unique shape and details. Again, very clever!All the controls - the screws and knobs - are easy to turn, and lock down tight. It will keep your iPad or phone right where you want it.Bottom Line - A smart idea, well executed and easy to use!
