The main purpose of a safe for me is to keep my guns out of the hands of my (or any visiting) children. I stash several guns for personal protection, and I like to keep them loaded and ready to go in case of an emergency. This safe is a nice size to store, not only a gun, but also extra ammo, holster etc. I love the extra shelf to help keep it all organized. The 3 different ways of opening are convenient, especially the biometric (fingerprint) for quick and easy access. I know how shaky hands can get when panicking, and it's hard to find the right buttons or even get the key in. This fingerprint reader seems to have pretty good accuracy. Only a couple times did I have to try again to get a successful reading. The key is always good back up if the battery dies, but you can also hook a 9V battery up to this one from the outside. The keypad is sort of limited with only 4 numbers, but they probably figured on people using the biometric option. One of the best features about this safe is the silent mode. This is huge to me, as I only use the key on one of my older safes because of the beeping sounds the keypad makes. If there were an intruder, I want to be as quiet as possible. I certainly don't want them to know I am retrieving my weapon by hearing the telling sounds of opening a safe. The bolts and door are heavy and robust, but the other sides are fairly thin metal. This works fine to keep people in my house out of it, but you may need something stronger if you are worried about thieves. For the style, size, and quality of the safe, I feel the price is on par. It is very comparable to the Bulldog brand safes.

This safe is easy to setup and has multiple ways to access what's inside. You can create a passcode using the number pad, biometric fingerprint, or use the key. I have tested all three methods and was able to get inside the safe without issue. It's pretty heavy and feels like it would detour most people (if it were discovered) as long as you have it either bolted to the floor or into the wall.This safe is also small enough that you could mount it inside of a vehicle if you travel a lot and want to secure your valuables that way. I am liking it so far and think this is the perfect size for phones, passports, pistols, camera equipment, jewelry, etc. I am happy with this purchase and can recommend it.

This is a decent safe with good features. They work well and you can get into the safe fairly quickly. Would have liked more mounting options.

-Easy set-up-Sturdy and sleek construction-Functions as intended-not as heavy as expected-The best part...fingerprint scanner, especially if you are horrible at remembering passcodes...just remember which finger/fingerprint you used-Reliable and secure
