This thing is awesome!I cut a bunch of branches all afternoon on one charge. So handy and quick. I don't have to get my big chainsaw out and lug it and its buddies around (gas and oil). No yanking to get a cold engine started, just press the button and go.The oiling system keeps everything well lubricated. The design allows sawdust to clear the saw. Thus you don't get the build-up around the drive sprocket.If you leave chain oil in it, laying it on its side (fill port facing up) stops the chain oil from free-flowing when in storage. Found that out the hard way...Should have bought this 3 years ago.Another quality product from my favorite cordless tool company

Love this tool, Its my go to saw for small tree trimming and firewood, light and easy to use and the Milwaukee tool line, you can`t go wrong with it.

We bought this to use on a frequent basis on our wooded lot. It is so easy to use, size is perfect for both men and women. We have used it to cut apart up to an 8" tree with ease, and it has a long battery life. We have never run out of battery on any of the projects we have used it on. Like all Milwaukee products, it durable and high quality. Great value for the money!

M18 Fuel 8 inch Hatchet....Run it with a 5 amp battery. Did very well. I'm impressed so far. Easy to use one handed. If you use two hands, make sure you don't hold the outside of the knuckle guard. Put your second hand inside the guard around the saw motor body. Especially for women, hold it firmly. It will tend to jump around a bit on some smaller branches.I cut up to 6 inch apple wood. Don't press down...just let the weight of the saw do the work. Listen to the motor. It will tell you how aggressive to cut. Power consumption seems reasonable. I made approximately 30 to 40 cuts of various wood diameters, and only used one bar of battery.Oiling system works well. It does seem to use more oil then I thought it would, so keep an eye on the reservoir. You can see excess oil on the bar. But I would much rather there be a little too much then not enough.As shipped, I believe the chain was too tight. Follow the owners manual and re adjust as necessary.I work at and agricultural service and we use Milwaukee M18 tools for just about everything from impacts to drills to grease gun. These are truly high quality products.

This thing more than exceeded my expectations!I used it to take a couple smaller trees down. 1 was an 8in tree, although I only used this thing down to a 6in section. The rest I used a bigger chain saw with. The other trees were 5in and in under in diameter. This thing did it really well though!
