These work great, stick well, but release so easily.

According to the description these labels can be used anywhere that contents ID is needed. There is a plentiful supply so anyone can have fun labeling everything from leftovers in the fridge, freezer contents on the door, to that old box of pictures of relatives taken with an old box camera from a distance of a quarter of a mile away that Great Auntie wanted you to have. Oh yes, they can also be used on that box of goodies, ….old rags to buttons to screws, …..that just might come in handy one of these days. I tried several kinds of markers including the one that comes with the labels. Sharpies or any similar brand works well without smearing after drying. I also used Copic drawing pens (smears slightly) acrylic paint pens (great), gel pens (smears) and pencil (no smearing except for very soft lead). These labels are very useful for the organized addict and most likely are useful for the messy, do it later, individual. There is a pen included in the packet that works well to write on the labels; however, it is extremely hard to remove the cap and replace the cap so the nib does not dry out. There is also a black plastic or silicone thingy that comes with the pen. It looks like it might be a pen holder and hanging device, but not even the in-house physicist could get it to work in a seemingly useful way!!!! The description for the labels gives the consumer no info on this little mystery do-dad.The labels have an adhesive that is easily removed from cardboard, dishes, glass, refrigerator doors, plastic wood, leather and most hard smooth objects. It leaves no residue behind and I found that it can be used more than once if the label description applies to contents.

I freeze a lot of stuff. I'd used blank return address labels before but they get kind of damp-ish and then are hard to peel off. These peel just fine without tearing, so they do the job. I actually got two sizes. They're similar enough though that I needn't have. These are the larger of the two sizes, and I like that better for all-purpose, since it still fits on my smallest containers. A big (like 3x3) size would be nice for casseroles. These come with a double-sided marker to write on the labels with. A regular pen will smear, but any sharpie would do. The pens write OK but one had a lid so tight I couldn't get it off and the other has bits of sharp plastic on it (pic). They also came with some kind of stretchy cord-holder type thing. I think this is meant to wrap around them, but they don't work, they just squish the sides of the roll oddly. It's too bad because it would be nice o have someway of keeping these rolled up or dispensed neatly. I tried to jury-rig the box to dispense them but it wouldn't work. As it is, I just kind of tear the paper away a bit too low under the next one on the strip and use it to stick to itself. For the quality and quantity, however, these are a good deal.

These work good for freezer stickers, haven't tried to take any off of containers yet. The first sticker was stuck to the one below it. I did have issues with trying to add the sticker to an item already in the freezer, it didn't want to stick.

I like to label just about everything - from leftovers in the refrigerator to boxes of holiday decorations I like to make an easy to read label so I can find whatever I'm looking for quickly. These are very nice labels with a cute red, green, or blue "stitching" border design that still leaves plenty of room to write. The labels are just a tiny bit shorter than 3" long and a full 1" wide. The space inside the stitching border is 2 3/4" by 7/8".I was able to stick the labels onto various plastic food storage containers and peel them off cleanly. I tried it on a piece of computer paper and was able to peel it off that paper if I went slowly and carefully. It was easy to remove from a cardboard box without ruining the cardboard. The labels have a matte finish that works well with ballpoint pens, pencils, or felt tip markers but my gel pen smeared when I ran my finger over the label as shown in my photo. There was a fine black marker included in the package (that was a nice surprise!) that writes well and doesn't smear at all. I do believe I'll keep that marker in the box with the labels so it is handy. Also included in the package is a mystery black silicone holder/strap? I couldn't figure out what to use it for because it is much too short to wrap around the roll of labels so they don't unroll unexpectedly and it doesn't stretch enough to go around the roll either. We had a laugh trying to figure out what it is for tonight, but the best guess was something to hook the pen to an unknown surface. Your guess is as good as mine! The only negative I found was the lack of perforations on the backing paper between labels. That would have made it much easier to neatly remove a few labels from the roll but still keep the backing paper on them until I was finished writing each one. It's not a big deal for me though.Good sized labels that peel off cleanly and come in a compact storage box (with a bonus pen and mystery thingy) so they will stay clean and neat. Definite 5 stars!
