Just what I needed. I have multiple soft boxes from MagMod but needed something so they can mount to my flash. Their use of magnets is innovative! I’m happy with MagMod, they’ve sped up my setup time and have gave me the little edge in my photography game. I will be getting more of their products, good quality stuff.

Magmod makes fantastic products, i wish the were cheaper. Be sure you're buying the latest version of this mount. I bought the old version initially and it was not compatible with my Westcott FJ400.

I picked up a MagBox 42 Octa soft box and needed this ring to mount to my Godox sl-60w light with a bowens mount. It work perfectly.

This does what is says, adapts the MagBox modifiers for use on a Bowens mount and provides a lever to remove the magnetic modifiers.Works perfectly with a Godox AD200 with bare-bulb installed in a S2 bracket.For the Godox AD-B2 with bare-bulbs installed, there is about 3mm of inference between the bulbs and the gel installed in a MagBox Pro 36 Strip, so the gel will not fully snap-in. However, you can still snap-in the bottom and top and the gel will stay in place and function but the sides will not be snapped-in at least not reliably. Admittedly, I struggled with this a bit at first, but once I accepted having just the top and bottom snapped-in was sufficient I think this is a very minor detail and I much prefer the simplicity of using using the MagBox Gels over gelling the bare-bulbs directly. (Do note that some flashes with protruding bulbs such as the AD400 and AD600 will still allow the use of the MagBox modifiers but will not work at all with the MagBox Gels, and this is clearly called out in the product description.)If you like the MagBox modifiers but prefer to use them with Bowens strobes or brackets, then this is a must have product and expands MagBox modifiers from being used with just speed lights to studio flashes as well. If you use different flash mounts or think you might change in the future you will only need to purchase a new speedring to keep using your MagBox modifiers on a Profoto, Paul C Buff, or Elinchrom strobe.
