This bulb lasted less than 3 months.The last bulb I had was from a name brand and lasted more than 3 years.I bought this because I needed fast delivery.I didn't realize how much suppliers' quality has degraded since the last bulb I purchased.

Review of XL-5200 TV Replacement Lamp Bulb with Housing Compatible with Sony SXRD XL5200 KDS-55A2000 KDS-55A3000 KDS-60A2000 KDS-60A2020 KDS-55A2020 KDS-50A3000 sold by GuoYanFeng doing business on Amazon as FEIYU TECHI had to contact the seller to check on the lamp wattage and received a quick response taking into account time zones and the international date line with a response saying that this bulb is 200 W. My experience has been that the lamps that are less than 200 W fail very quickly. The OEM lamp was 200 W so the TV obviously was designed for this higher wattage.Have only used this lamp for about two weeks so far and will update my review if needed.The lamp seems to be working quite well so far but the key will be to see if it lasts for the listed 4000 hours.The lamp was well protected for shipping which is important for this type of product.One thing that I do to prolong life of the bulb is to leave the TV off for at least half an hour after turning the TV off. The repairman who replaced the color block of my KDS-50A2000 strongly suggested that this was needed due to the high heat generated by the lamp. Color block replacement was part of the Sony settlement agreement. I also leave the TV on for at least 15 minutes once started for the same reason.

This is not the Sony brand bulb, but it is a good version of it. The build quality is excellent and the bulb has good color reproduction. It could easily be confused with name brand and I can see how much work went into getting the housing right. I will update the review if the bulb fails prematurely, but otherwise I think it is a good value.
